Minister takes notice of fake plot challans
Taking notice of the news regarding issuance of fake challans in transfer of plots in informal settlements, Sindh Minister for Human Settlements and Special Development Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has formed a committee to probe the matter.
It is reported that challan invoices for transfer of plots in informal settlements are being issued with fake stamps. A spokesman said on Sunday that the provincial minister had already appealed to the people through the media that in order to be prevented from all kinds of frauds, citizens should receive challans themselves and submit them to bank on their own. The spokesman said that if any employees of the department were found to be involved in the scam, they would be dealt with strictly and a case would be registered against them.
