Police on Friday disclosed the news of a burglary committed in the house of a retired military officer on January 19.
According to Saddar police, the burglars held the family hostage at gunpoint at gunpoint before they took away gold and currency worth millions of rupees from the residence in Karachi’s Saddar area.
Giving details in the FIR, complainant Ramzan Malik said the robbers looted gold worth around Rs15 million, foreign currency worth around Rs10 million and Rs1.7 million. Malik said eight unidentified robbers, who had a car, entered his residence and took the family members hostage at gunpoint.
The police said they were trying to get CCTV footage to identify and arrest the robbers. A case has been registered against unidentified robbers and an investigation is under way.
