The rally was organised by Muttahida Talaba Mahaz, a conglomeration of the college’s student union of different political parties. The rally was led by Mahaz president Mohammad Abbas Khan and other office-bearers, who alleged that Prof Jalil, supervisor for the college security, insulted the students and guests by brandishing a pistol at the premises. They said the college should be a weapon-free area and demanded action against him.
