Data centre: Virtual University (VU) inaugurated its new Data Centre in Lahore

Rector Naeem Tariq, Ehsen Zafar Puri, Director ICT, principal officers, deans, directors and staff of the university attended the ceremony.

Focal person of the data center, Engr Syed Naushad, said, “This data center complies with security and threat advisories received from time to time from HEC and other government security agencies. The data center has been established indigenously, saving millions of rupees for the university,” he added.

Ehsen Zafar Puri said keeping in mind the imperative needs of technological advancement, the university had launched a state-of-the-art data center. The rector congratulated the networking department on timely completion of the project.
