Two-year-old child drowns in pond

TOBA TEK SINGH: A two-year-old child drowned in a pond at Chak 291/GB Lahorianwala on Sunday.
Abdul Mateen, son of Abdul Ghaffar, was playing near the pond when he slipped and drowned in it.
CASH, VALUABLES LOOTED: A dacoity incident was reported here on Sunday. Five dacoits forced their entry into the house of farmer Muhammad Afzal at Chak 330/GB and decamped with Rs 850,000, gold ornaments and a motorcycle.
GOVERNOR: Punjab Governor Ch M Sarwar arrived here on Sunday through Motorway M-3 at Rajana Interchange. He visited his farmhouse at Chak 191/GB Makhdoom Wali and met with local politicians, including ex-MPA Ch Noor Ahmad Mahi and Muhammad Shafiq. Later, he departed for Kihdder Wala, Faisalabad, where he inaugurated a school.
