As many as 4,000 candidates on Sunday took the entrance tests for 2020 admissions to various departments of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast), Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
A half of them took the test from 9:00 am till noon, while the other attempted their test from 2:00pm till 5:00pm.
Last week, the Fuuast admissions directorate had announced the entry test for the bachelor’s programme in pharmacy, computer science, diploma in engineering, commerce and other departments.
According to Fuuast Admissions Director Prof Dr Muhammad Zahid, the varsity officials conducted the entrance test successfully. The officials of the directorate had set up a reception desk, information cell and a separate waiting area for the parents of the candidates. He said the candidates seeking admissions to Fuuast this year have been from across the country. The results of the tests will be announced by the next week.
Fuuast Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Arif Zubair expressed satisfaction over the assessment process and said those candidates who would pass the test would be able to secure their admission to the varsity.
