KARACHI: Foreign and local experts offered modern technological solutions in plastic and food packaging at the Annual Packaging Forum 2015 held at the Auditorium of Karachi Expo Centre.
On the second day of PLASTI&PACK, IFTECH- Pakistan 2015 on Wednesday, foreign experts narrated the salient features of the latest trends in flexible packaging, high efficiency solutions in printing and laminating of flexible packaging, healthy packaging for consumers, etc.
The exhibitors have seen lots of potential for their machinery and technology in the fast growing processing and packaging market in Pakistan, saying that they are having good business at the PLASTI&PACK, IFTECH- Pakistan 2015.
On the second day of the exhibition there was a professional B2B activity at the Annual Packaging Forum, with the theme, “Flexible Packaging Innovations and Developments”, in which international and local speakers from United Kingdom, Pakistan, and UAE presented their papers and highlighted the latest dairy, meat and other packaging industry trends and practices.
They discussed the topics on Nano Technology in plastic packaging industries, latest trends in flexible packaging, innovations in vacuum coating/metalizing technology in food packaging, high efficiency solutions in printing and laminating of flexible packaging, extended shelf life packaging solution for meat and dairy industry, and value additions in dairy packaging.
The unique skill, showcasing activities by the cooking arts students from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), and professional chefs of the hotel and restaurant industry, at the expo centre, include knife skill, fruit, vegetable and ice carving skills, cake making and decorations and other exotic culinary preparations.
Industry visitors from various cities of Pakistan including Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala, Shekhupura, and Gujrat have visited and appreciated the exhibition, and a larger numbers of visitors are expected to visit on the third day of the show.
The exhibition has gathered more than 100 local and international companies from around 25 countries, which include: Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, UK, and USA.
