KU announces MA final examinations’ results

Karachi University on Friday announced the results of MA (Final) Economics, Urdu, Islamic History, General History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Sindhi and Arabic Annual Examination 2018.

According to KU Controller of Examinations Professor Dr Arshad Azmi, 685 candidates were registered for MA Economics and 656 students appeared in the exams, of which, 99 candidates cleared with the second division and one student cleared the papers with the third division. The overall pass percentage was 15.40 per cent. Amber Adil obtained 521 marks out of 1,000 marks and Sidra Anwar secured 520 marks while Varda Tariq bagged 517 marks for first, second and third positions, respectively.

For MA Urdu results, 291candidates were registered and 283 students appeared in the papers, of which, 58 candidates cleared their exams with first the division and 121 students with the second division. The overall pass percentage was 63.25 per cent. Samina Mushtaq secured 680 marks out of 1,000 marks, Aliya Batool received 674 marks and Rabia Mahmood scored 662 marks. They stood first, second and third, respectively.

As many as 26 candidates were registered for MA General History and 24 students appeared in the exams. Seven candidates were declared pass with the first division and five students with the second division. The overall pass percentage was 50 per cent. Zarafshan Burki obtained 668 marks out of 1,000 marks, Muhammad Abdullah obtained 664 marks while Muhammad Iqbal got 659 marks for first, second and third positions, respectively.

The gazette shows that 174 candidates were registered for the MA Islamic History annual exams, and168 students appeared in the exams. Only six candidates passed their exams with the first division and 46 students with the second division. The overall pass percentage was 30.95 percent.

For MA Islamic History, Muhammad Ahmed secured 656 marks out of 1,000 marks, Hafiz Yasir Raza got 625 marks and Huma Safdar received 612 marks for first, second and third respectively. Thirteen candidates were registered, of which, 12 students appeared in the exams and none of them cleared their exams.

Six candidates appeared in MA Philosophy papers and two students cleared the exams with the second division. The overall pass percentage was 33.33 per cent. Five candidates appeared in MA Sindh papers, of which, three candidates cleared the exams with the first division and two students with second the division. The overall pass percentage was 100 per cent. Paras Abbas scored 670 marks out of 1,000 marks, Zubair Ahmed received 647 marks and Fahmida bagged 577 marks for first, second and third, respectively.

Only Amin Ullah was registered for MA Arabic who obtained 715 marks and was declared first. Thirteen candidates were registered for MA Mathematics, of which, 12 students appeared in the exams and none of them cleared their exams.

MBBS results

Meanwhile, the KU examination department announced the results of MBBS Second, Third and Fourth Professional Supplementary Examination 2019.

Five candidates were registered and all the candidates appeared for MBBS Second Professional Supplementary exams. The overall pass percentage was 100 percent.

As many as 37 students were registered for MBBS Third Professional Supplementary papers and all of them appeared in the exams, of which, 31 candidates were declared pass. The pass percentage was 83.78 percent.

For MBBS Fourth Professional Supplementary papers, 55 candidates were registered and all of them appeared in the exams and 26 students managed to clear their exams. The overall pass percentage was 47.27 per cent.
