WANA: Around 324 internally displaced families were sent home in South Waziristan on the first day of the 12 phase of returning process launched on Monday. The IDPs families were transported to native areas in the Sararogha tehsil in South Waziristan under the escort of the security forces. A transit camp was established in Khargi area in Tank. Talking to reporters, Political Agent Zafarul Islam said the returning families were provided transportation and Rs25,000 and one month ration. He said the 12th phase of the return process would continue for two months. The tribespeople from South Waziristan were displaced in 2009 when the security forces launched operation Rah-e-Nijat against the militants. More than 16,000 families have been sent back during the earlier phases.
