Partly cloudy forecast

LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather was reported in the city here on Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said continental air is prevailing over most upper parts of the country. They predicted mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country while very cold in upper parts and north Balochistan. However, cloudy weather with light rain and snowfall over hills is expected at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan.

Rainfall was recorded at several cities including Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad, Garhi Dupatta, Kotli, Murree, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mangla, Chakwal, MB Din, Bahawalpur, Okara, Jhelum, Sialkot, Jhang, Joharabad, Bahawalnagar, Dir, Balakot, Kakul, Pattan, Parachinar, Malamjabba, Mirkhani, Drosh, Tahktbhai, Saidu Sharif, Chitral, Cherat, Peshawar, D.I.Khan, Bagrote, Chillas, Skardu, Bunji and Gilgit. Snowfall was recorded at Murree, Bunji, Astore, Chillas, Chitral, Malamjabba, Kalam, Drosh, Bagrote, Skardu, Parachinar, Upper Dir, Pattan and Mirkhani. Tuesday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu and Kalat where mercury dropped down to -13°C while in Lahore it was 5°C and maximum was 13.2°C.
