‘Indian SC decision victory of Kashmiris’

LAHORE:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that 159 days of curfew in Indian-Held Kashmir is the worst precedent of terrorism.

Indian Supreme Court slapped the Modi government by terming the curfew and restrictions in IHK unconstitutional, said the Punjab governor while talking to a delegation from Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, led by Chaudhry Ansar Shahzad and Khurram Ali Shah. The governor said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was advancing the RSS agenda that was the enemy of peace and humanity. Kashmiris’ freedom movement could not be weakened through gun and bullet. Kashmir issue will have to be settled not tomorrow but today according to the United Nations resolutions, he added.

The Punjab governor said that Indian Supreme Court’s declaration of curfew and restrictions in IHK as unconstitutional was actually the victory of Kashmiris’ stance. Indian Supreme Court’s decision of restoring internet services and lifting Section 144 in occupied Kashmir within seven days is commendable, he said.

Though Indian army under the leadership of Narendra Modi is committing worst terrorism through the curfew, the people of IHK were standing firm in their quest for freedom, said Sarwar. He said that India’s controversial citizenship act was a bare attack on the basic and human rights of Indian Muslims.
