Official inquires after Pashto singer

PESHAWAR: Director Culture Shama Niamat visited the Lady Reading Hospital and inquired after the health of known Pashto singer Mahjabeen Qazalbash. On the occasion, the culture director announced Rs500,000 financial grant for the singer.
The director of Lady Reading Hospital, while briefing the official on the health of Mahjabeen, said that special care was being given to her and a medical team assigned for her. The director culture met Mahjabeen Qazalbash’s family and said the provincial government would provide them financial support to treat the ailing singer. It may be mentioned here that Mahjabeen Qazalbash suffered a heart attack last week. She has been under treatment at the LRH since then.
