KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sindh has restricted registration authorities from allowing for sale, transfer or any change in the property of former director general of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Manzoor Qadir Kaka.
In an official confidential letter copy available with ‘The News,’ NAB asked registration authorities if any change allowed for sale, transfer or any change made in a property of Manzoor Qadir Kaka including a bungalow situated at plot No 13, FT-4 Broadway Khyaban-e-Iqbal Clifton, Karachi and if any official did not comply wit the orders, he would face action under Section 23 (a) of NAB Ordinance 1999.
According to the contents of that ‘confidential letter’ written to Sub-Registrar Clifton Karachi, Inspector General Registration Sindh and Deputy Commissioner South Karachi, Deputy Director Coordination NAB Salahdin Mughul, it was narrated that NAB had taken the cognizance of an offence committed by former SBCA DG Manzoor Qadir and in order to safeguard the interest of the government and general public from being cheated through further transfer, NAB decided to impose caution under section 23 of NAB Ordinance 1999 to prevent execution of lease, sub-lease in respect of the sale, change of title or creation of any right and change upon the property till the finalisation of the matter.
