KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is delighted at the prospects of Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is scheduled to be held next year in February in Qatar.
PCB Executive Committee chief Najam Sethi has recently announced that the PSL has finally been scheduled for February next year and will be held in Qatar. The PSL event had previously been postponed twice in the past. It is not supposed to take place from February 4-24 with a prise purse of US$1 million.
“PCB has formally announced (scheduled and venue) of PSL,” tweeted Malik.
Shoaib Malik added that he expects to see his colleagues of other leagues in the PSL event.
“Hoping to see my mates from BPL, CPL and NatWest T20 Blast in Doha. Lets do this!” Malik added.
PCB is organising the PSL event in Qatar as it expects few international cricketers to be ready to travel to Pakistan if held on home soil on because of security apprehensions. And subsequently lack of sponsors’ interest in the event.
