KARACHI: While heavy rains washed out a couple of matches during Pakistan Panthers Veterans cricket team’s tour of England, they spent a day at the historic Lord’s cricket ground.
According to the information made available by the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), their matches against Surrey and Hampshire were abandoned without a ball being bowled due to the inclement weather.
They had registered a 34-run victory over Dorset Veterans in their opening match, which was also hit by rains, at the Dean Park in Bournemouth earlier in the week.
They will take on Middlesex CCC in their final match. There is a clear weather forecast for the day.
The visitors, led by skipper Fawad Ijaz Khan, undertook a tour of the Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday. Pakistan’s High Commissioner in London, Ibn-e-Hassan, was also present on the occasion.
