NAB Thursday arrested Patwari Irshad Ahmed in a bank fraud case worth Rs 25.10 million.
According to a NAB spokesman, the accused in connivance with other accused Abdul Rehman and Muhammad Akram prepared fake and bogus gardawries of agricultural land to get bank loan. Later, the accused failed to honour their financial obligations and defaulted on their payments. Accused Abdul Rehman is on a pre-arrest bail whereas accused Muhammad Akram has not joined the investigation proceedings and is absconding. Accused Irshad Ahmed will be produced before an accountability court to obtain judicial remand.
