Applications invited for posts of BISEs’ top positions

LAHORE : Higher Education Department (HED), Punjab, has invited applications for the posts of secretary and controller of examinations of different boards of intermediate and secondary education (BISEs) of the province.

The HED Punjab has sought applications to fill the posts of secretary for BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. The applications for the posts of controller of BISE Lahore, Rawalpindi and Dera Ghazi Khan have also been sought.

The closing date for receiving applications for the posts is January 3, 2020 while only permanent/regular officers/employees working in BS-18/19 of HED Punjab, School Education Department (SED, Punjab, attached departments and autonomous bodies working under these two departments as well as PAS/PMS officers in BS-18/19 are eligible to apply for the posts.

Minister thanks PM: Provincial Minister for Human Right and Minority Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine, on behalf of the Christian community all over Pakistan, thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for making possible celebration of Christmas at the national level for the second time in the history of the country.

He acknowledged that every PTI parliamentarian joined the Christian community members in their celebrations in their respective departments to show solidarity with them.

Under the vision of the prime minister, the provincial government is making an all-out effort to remove sense of deprivation and alienation among minorities and taking them towards the national mainstream, the minister said.

Ijaz Alam also thanked Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for providing opportunities to the Christian community.

drugs prices: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has demanded the government enforce notification of 15 percent cut in medicines’ prices in letter and spirit and ensure the availability of drugs in the market. The PMA office-bearers also demanded that all medicines particularly the life saving drugs, steroids, anabolic medicine, anti-psychotic should only be dispensed with the prescription of qualified medical practitioners. They expressed concern that many essential drugs were either not available or were in short supply.
