Siraj for indiscriminate accountability of the corrupt
LAHORE :Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Senator Sirajul Haq has called for indiscriminate accountability of all the corrupt in the country.
He said that a feeling of injustice and discrimination is strongly emerging among masses about the ongoing accountability drive in the country.
Addressing the meeting of JI’s Central Executive Council (Majlis-e-Shoora) at Mansoora on Thursday, Senator Sirajul Haq alleged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seemed interested in making the people infamous rather than showing any attention in investigation against corruption.
Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ameerul Azim, JI Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch and other leaders attended the meeting which was held to discuss the political situation and formulate future strategy.
The JI chief on the occasion criticised the government for jeopardising the national economy and devising external and internal policies under the influence of foreign powers.
He said the skyrocketing inflation, rising unemployment and poor law and order were hitting the people hard but the government completely turned a blind eye to their problems.
The Jamaat leader said the government claim about fall in imports was a joke, saying the imports reduced due to closing down of businesses and development projects.
He said International Monitary Fund (IMF) and World Bank had taken complete control of the government affairs.
Senator Sirajul Haq said that different state institutions were in a state of clash, badly affecting the people’s life and making the state vulnerable to the enemies’ designs.
The government, he alleged, seemed nowhere in the overall scenario and completely surrendered before the American policies.
Meanwhile, addressing Teachers’ Convention held here under the umbrella of National Association for Education, Siraj voiced concern over the parallel systems of education running in the country, saying the privileged class went to the elite institutions while there were almost no education facilities for common public.
Warning the discriminatory education system was putting in danger the national harmony and unity, he called for enforcement of uniform curriculum and equal for all education system in the country.
Baloch: Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch has said the government is creating crisis after crisis, putting in danger the national security and sovereignty of the country.
Addressing a meeting at Mansoora, the Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters on Thursday, he said the people seemed no more in a mood to tolerate the incapable rulers as inflation and unemployment made them almost impossible to survive in the prevailing circumstances.
Baloch said the Jamaat-e-Islami was making all efforts to awake the rulers from slumber and pay attention to the internal and external problems facing the country.
On Kashmir, he said, the Jamaat-e-Islami started the countrywide “Save Kashmir” movement from the day Modi government abrogated the special status of the held region.
He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami would continue its efforts to turn the country into an Islamic welfare state as was dreamt by its founding fathers.
