PHF congress meeting today

KARACHI: The PHF congress meeting will be held in Islamabad on Thursday (today) in which Brig (rtd) Khalid Sajjad Khokar is to get the vote of confidence for the post of president.
The meeting of the PHF congress is considered a formality, but sources said there could be heated arguments from the members on the pathetic situation of the national game.
They said that a major official of PHF could resign after the meeting. The PHF congress members will also debate the amendments made to the PHF constitution.
A large number of congress members are annoyed that the minutes of the last meeting of the PHF congress, which was held on December 23 last year, have not been sent to them.
It is believed in the entire hockey fraternity that PHF’s congress meeting is crucial in many ways and the future of the national game would be determined by how the members of the congress see the situation of hockey in the country and what measures they propose.
