LAHORE:Punjab Chief Secretary Major (Retd) Azam Suleman Khan on Wednesday virtually monitored Rawalpindi Sadr police station, Township Model Bazaar, Lahore and emergency ward of Gujranwala District Headquarters Hospital through a video link hooked up by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

The chief secretary (CS) asked the buyers at Township Model Bazaar about the implementation of the prices of commodities fixed by the government and their quality. Speaking to the visitors to the model bazaar, he mentioned that virtual monitoring was aimed at resolving problems of the common man. He directed the administration of the model bazaar to take every possible step for facilitating the consumers. Feeling pleasantly surprised, the buyers thanked the CS and told him that daily-use items were available at reasonable prices at the bazaar.

Similarly, he directly obtained information from the patients at Gujranwala DHQ Hospital regarding behaviour of doctors and other staff with the general public, besides availability of healthcare facilities and medicines.

He asked the complainants at Rawalpindi Sadr police station about the problems they were facing. Talking to complainants through video link, the CS said that police stations had been established to provide relief to the people.
