Girl commits suicide over love affair

LAHORE
A girl committed suicide by opening fire at her temple apparently over failure in love affair in the Harbanspura police limits on Wednesday.
Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The victim has been identified as Anum, daughter of Mubarak of Wali Park. A police official said the victim wanted to contract love marriage but her parents refused over which she got dejected. She locked herself in a room and committed suicide. After hearing bullet shot, her family rushed to the room and found her in a pool of blood. She was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s relative told police that Anum had become emotional over love marriage despite her parents had tried to settle the issue.
BODY: A 40-year-old man was found dead in the Yakki Gate police limits. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The victim yet to be identified was lying unconscious on a roadside. Police after being informed reached the scene and rushed the victim to hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police said the victim was a drug addict and died due to excessive use of drugs.
PROTEST: The families of two youngsters protested against Racecourse police over subjecting their beloved ones to torture. It resulted into traffic jam. The protesters demanded immediate action against responsible policemen. Senior police officer reached the scene and assured them of justice after they dispersed.
