Chief Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema has announced cash prize and commendatory certificate for a lady traffic warden for showing bravery against robbers on Monday.Kot Lakhpat Traffic Sector Ticketing Officer Salma Shaukat had saved the cash worth lakhs of rupees of a man from robbers who were chasing him near Sabzi Mandi. The victim Ameer Ali had withdrawn cash from a local bank when two robbers snatched a bag full of cash from him. They were trying to snatch another bag when the victim rushed to the ticketing office. The lady warden locked the door of the office and saved the victim and his cash. Robbers fled the scene by hurling life threats. Meanwhile, traffic wardens arrested a robber who was snatching cell phones from citizens in Shahdra. His three accomplices managed to flee. Traffic wardens Kashif, Salman and Ghulam Murtaza arrested a robber who was trying to snatch a cellphone from a rickshaw driver. The accused has been identified as Shafaqat of Haji Kot. The CTO announced cash prize and commendatory certificates for the wardens.
