Cheques given to families of PIC victims

LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid gave a cheque of financial aid of Rs 1 million to the family of a deceased, Muhammad Boota, who lost his life during lawyers’ attack on Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).

She also offered condolences to the bereaved family. She said that, on the instructions of chief minister, financial aid was being provided to the families of those who lost their lives in the rampage of lawyers in PIC.

Meanwhile, Housing & Urban Development Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Resheed went to Ghaziabad, the residence of Gulshan Munir who died in PIC due to vandalism of lawyers and presented a cheque for Rs1 million to her husband.

He condoled with her husband Qari Munir Ahmad Barkati and other bereaved family members and offered Fateha for the departed soul. He also conveyed the condolence message of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to the bereaved family.

He said that on the special instructions of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, financial aid was being provided to the heirs of the deceased who lost their lives in this incident. He said that more we condemned the attack on the hospital the less it would be. Strict legal action will be taken against those lawyers who were involved in this tragic incident. He stated that forcefully preventing doctors from treating the patients and rampage by a group of lawyers was a cruel act.
