Wedding participants attack police

TOBA TEK SINGH: Participants of a wedding party Thursday attacked a police party. According to police, ASI Ghulam Rasool and other policemen were informed that participants of the marriage function of Muhammad Amin of Chak 757/GB were resorting to aerial firing, violating sound ban and holding obscene dance.
When the police reached the spot, the bridegroom and other 77 participants, including women, attacked the police party and injured cops Muhammad Iftikhar and Jafar Sadiq and damaged the police van.
The participants also fired at the police party. The injured cops were removed to Arrouti Rural Health Centre. A case has been registered against the accused.
