Free vandalism
December 13, 2019
The entire nation is in deep shock and dismay over the increasing vandalism and mob attacks by lawyers in various parts of the country. The attack in Lahore created a very real risk of violence, and undermined rule of law.
The federal and provincial government(s) should conduct prompt and full investigations into these cases, and to hold the perpetrators accountable in order to do justice to the victims and to prevent recurrence of such violence and vandalism. No more culture of impunity for those who are guilty of such malicious mischief. In the wake of what happened in Lahore, it is proposed that legislation tackling such actions be framed at the earliest.
