LAHORE: Grand Health Alliance (GHA) of the PIC chapter Chairman Dr Muhammad Irfan’s video clip mocking lawyers went viral on the social media.

It triggered the lawyers assault on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology as they released a video with claims of teaching doctors a lesson in their own backyard.

The GHA leadership, however, claimed that some miscreants had released Dr Irfan’s old video to create misunderstanding between doctors and lawyers after the two communities resolved their differences to end a three-week long tussle, following an altercation between the two groups in the Outdoor Ward of the PIC on November 23.

“This was done under an agenda as Dr Irfan had already clarified about the old video deliberately released to achieve certain nefarious objectives,” they said, adding that Dr Irfan had also sought an unconditional apology if the old video had hurt the feelings of the lawyers.

The independent observers believed that some miscreant elements among lawyers tried to create misunderstanding with an aim to fuel violence to steal advantage for one group of candidates over the other in the upcoming election of the Lahore Bar Association.
