LAHORE: A girl was killed by her brother in the name of honour in Shalimar area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Ramsha. The accused identified as Bilal had nursed a grudge against his sister Ramsha for having illicit relations with a man of the area. He repeatedly warned the girl but she did not pay heed to his warnings. On the day of the incident, the victim was asleep when the accused Bilal slit open her throat and escaped. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a murder case against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s uncle Aurangzeb.
