Abbottabad traders asked to dismantle encroachments
ABBOTTABAD: The district administration has asked the traders to remove encroachments voluntarily within one week.
Deputy Commissioner Amir Afaq set the deadline at a meeting with the representatives of different traders’ associations, district administration and Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) officials.
It was decided that the business community would remove makeshift and permanent encroachments in the city.
The TMA will mark down the cemented buildings which create hurdles for the smooth movement of the traffic in the city bazaars, especially in Sabzi Mandi and the main bazaar.
Domicile certificates: The deputy commissioner ordered the provision of domicile certificates to the students in their respective schools.
He ordered the revenue staff (patwaris) to ensure presence in respective Patwar circles as well to facilitate the people.
He issued the directives at a public forum at the Birote Union Council on Friday. Residents of the village Thurmuttaian, a far-flung area of the Abbottabad district, spoke about health related issues, including problems of clean drinking water, roads and other issues such as matters about revenue staff.
