275 arrested in Mardan operations

MARDAN: The police have arrested 275 proclaimed offenders during operations in various areas of Mardan district during the month of November.
On directives of District Police Officer Sajjad Khan, the police conducted operations that led to arrest of another 119 facilitators in various crimes in the month, says an official statement.
About 23 Kalashnikovs, 15 Kalakovs, 18 rifles, 37 guns, 571 pistols and 9732 bullets of different bores were also seized. During the month, the police also recovered 181kg hashish, 28687 grams heroin, 12 liters wine, and 429 grams ice.
The police conducted visits to various educational institutions, hostels and other sensitive locations under the Tenants Act and booked 113 people.
