Rahat keen to win twin World Bodybuilding titles next year
LAHORE: Renowned England-based Pakistan bodybuilder Syed Rahat Ali Shah has expressed his ambition to win World Bodybuilding Championship in Russia and Arnold Classic World Championship in Spain next year; he expressed these views during his meeting with Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Rahat, 42, said that he is training hard for the high profile bodybuilding events and quite upbeat to offer title winning performances in both the grand events in 2020. Birmingham-based Rahat Ali also became first Pakistani who clinched British Championship in Men Physique Category in 2018. Rahat informed DG Sports Punjab about his achievements in the field of bodybuilding during the meeting. Rahat said he finished 6th in Arnold Classic World Championship in Spain in 2018. “I was also top position holder in Sugar Classic 2019 in Leicester which was also a qualifier for Diamond Cup World Championship scheduled to be held in Russia”.
Aulakh lauded his accomplishments and said definitely its matter of proud for entire nation to have a world class bodybuilder. “Sports Board Punjab will organize an impressive ceremony to honour Rahat Ali in coming days. The world class bodybuilders like Syed Rahat Ali Shah are definitely a great inspiration for our youngsters,” he added.
