Driving institutes told to improve training standards
DIG Javed Ali Mehar, chief of the Karachi Traffic Police, on Wednesday held a meeting with the owners of driving institutes operating in the city.
The spokesman for the traffic police said that DIG Mehar held the meeting at Saleem Wahidi Auditorium, Driving Licence Branch, Clifton, which was also attended by the DIG Licensing and Training Sindh.
He urged the owners of the driving schools to ensure due observance of traffic rules and standard procedures during learning sessions at their motor training institutes. He asked them to improve the learning and training standards at their institutes so that people enrolled there got training to drive on the roads in a better way without causing accidents.
The DIG informed the meeting that they would soon initiate visits to different driving schools in the city on a gradual basis to check their training standards.
