Tevta MoU
The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with a consulting group to collaborate for getting job placements for Tevta-trained workforce.
Tevta Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique said that Tevta vision gave due importance to placements of its trained workforce by ensuring quality training and introduction of demand-driven courses. The MoU was a step towards realisation of the vision through ensuring placements for Tevta trained people. He added that Tevta was soon going to produce an additional workforce of 100,000 per annum through spearheading the Punjab government flagship initiative of 'Hunarmand Noujawan.' It is expected to be inaugurated soon by the Punjab chief minister. According to the MoU, the consulting group would also play a role in assisting Tevta in capacity building initiatives, research and development, ensuring job placements.
