11 held for selling meat of dead animals

LAHORE:The City traffic police arrested 11 persons on charges of selling dead meat for birds as Sadka (charity).

The arrested persons has been identified as Shaukat, Sarwar, Wali, Abdul Ghafoor, Nausher, Lateef, Waryam,Shahzad, Abdul Raheem, Akram and Liaqat. blast case: Lahore police could not make any headway into the Chauburji bomb blast case even a special team from Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) observed the crime scene and the forensic experts collected samples and sent them to laboratory for their detailed analysis. The crime scene was largely disturbed as large number of people moved freely there. A lot of evidence virtually got trampled due to the movement of cops and curious onlookers. There were still many loose ends in the case which the Lahore police were trying to tie up. Police also examined the video footage recorded on closed-circuit cameras of Punjab Safe Cities Authority installed at various roads of the City, but could not find any clue.
