MULTAN: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf activists Wednesday staged a demonstration against the Attock and Kasur incidents accusing the PML-N governments of their failure in combating terrorism in the country.
The protestors said the PML-N-led governments were undermining sacrifices and efforts of the Pakistan Army made in restoring law and order situation in the country.
Multan district organizer Aijaz Hussein Janjua led the demonstration staged on the Masoom Shah road.
On the occasion, Janjua accused the PML-N-led governments of ignoring issues of the masses due to its incompetent and inexperienced officers.
He feared that terror activities would become hard to combat if the PML-N leadership did not mend its ways.
He said the Sharif brothers were enjoying fool proof security but Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada was left at the mercy of terrorists.
He said the Kasur incident and the Attock suicide attack vindicated that the PML-N-led government failed in providing secure atmosphere and in maintaining good governance in the province, saying that the Punjab government should have resigned in the wake of these two incidents.
The protesters raised slogans against the government. PTI office bearers Salim Bokhari, Sabin Gul, Jawad Amin and others also spoke.
