LAKKI MARWAT: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Range Abdul Ghafoor Afridi on Monday directed the police to launch crackdown against the drug-traffickers.
He was chairing a meeting at the Police Lines in Lakki Marwat. District Police Officer (DPO) Qasim Ali Khan, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Shafique Khan Wazir, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarters Hidayatullah Shah, DSP Serai Naurang Circle Iqbal Mohmand and other police officials were present.
“The crackdown should be across the board and no one should be spared no matter how influential they are,” RPO said.Earlier, giving a briefing to the RPO, DPO Qasim Ali Khan said that the police had arrested 75 drug-peddlers, including four big fish, and have been sent to prison under 3MPO.
He said that the crackdown was still continuing against the criminals in the district.Expressing satisfaction over the police performance, RPO urged the police officials to deal with the complainants politely visiting the police stations to get their cases registered. The RPO also directed the police to be in touch with the complainants and keep them updated on the progress of their cases. Later, he distributed commendation certificates and cash prizes among the cops for their best performance.
