LAHORE" A 35-year old man was killed by a stray kite string near Mughalpura flyover in the limits of Mughalpura police on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Amir. The victim was on his way on a bike when a stray kite string cut his throat. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The DIG suspended Mughalpura SHO Mudassar Ullah Khan and directed the SSP Operations to hold an inquiry into the incident and submit a report to him in this regard.
The chief minister also took notice of the incident and directed the CCPO to submit a report to him in this regard. A 20-year-old youth, Usman, had also lost his life due to stray kite string on October 20, 2019.
