ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk has said all the three pillars of state should play their role within their limits. This would result in strengthening of state and democracy. He was addressing farewell reception hosted by Pakistan Bar Council in his honour. He said he tried to uphold supremacy of the Constitution and law on every occasion and never given preference to his personal interests.
He said his period as chief justice started with the advent of Dharna. He said when he joined the Supreme Court, the matters were easy to handle. He said during his tenure number of pending cases was reduced.
Addressing the reception Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Azam Tarar and Executive Committee Chairman Ahsan Bhoon paid tributes to the Chief Justice.
