Schools readying for Independence Day celebrations

Islamabad: The government schools and colleges overseen by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) are readying themselves to celebrate the country's 69th Independence Day with traditional fervour and enthusiasm.
According to a relevant FDE official, the August 14 activities have been designed in such a manner that they will help students understand the need and importance of independence, know about the country's founding fathers and their efforts and sacrifices for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent, and become patriotic citizens.
