PESHAWAR: Scholars, writers and critics on Monday paid homage to late scholar Rajwali Shah Khattak for his services to Pashto literature.
A seminar was organised at the Peshawar Press Club to pay tribute to Rajwali Shah Khattak. It was attended by Alami Pashto Congress chairman Salim Raaz, Director of the Pashto Academy Nasrullah Wazir, Noorul Bashar Naveed, Abaseen Yousafzai and writers from Afghanistan.
They said that Rajwali Shah Khattak rendered excellent service to Pashto literature, adding that he introduced new trends in Pashto literature. A condolence reference was organised by Deewa Radio as well to pay homage to Rajwali Shah Khattak.
The event was held at Peshawar Press Club on Monday. It was also attended by Rahmat Shah Sail, Hamish Khalil, Abaseen Yousafzai, Director Pashto Academy Nasrullah Khan Wazir, vice chancellor Bacha Khan University Dr Fazal Rahim, Muhammad Asif, Farooq Firaq, poets, intellectuals, professors and doctors in large number.The participants including writers and critics eulogised his services for the Pashto language and literature.
