JUI-F names candidate for district chairman

KARAK: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) has nominated Maulana Mirzaqeem has its candidate for the office of the district government chairman.
This was decided at a meeting of JUI-F on Sunday, with its district president Hafiz Ibne Ameen in the chair in Tangori Sar area. The meeting decided to expedite contacts with all other political parties and independent candidates to secure the coveted slot.
The meeting was attended by the party’s newly elected district councilors, cabinet members, former provincial minister Mian Nisar Gul and workers of the party.
For the office of the district chairman, political observers expect a tough contest between Maualan Mirzaqeem of the JUI-F and a PTI candidate who has not been nominated so far.
