MARDAN: The first three top positions in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-II examination 2015 were grabbed by girl students of the Pre-Medical Group, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan said in a press release on Saturday.
A total of 31,457 students had appeared in the examination of whom 20,711 were declared successful. A total of 30,833 students sat for the HSSC Part-I examination of whom 18,643 passed the examination with a passing percentage of 65.84.
Anmol Ali of Peace Public School and College Mardan topped the examination as well as the Pre-Medical Group by securing 998 out of 1,100 marks.
Kiran Gohar of Quaid-e-Azam Girls College Swabi stood second with 984 marks and Javaria Nasir of Tufail Shaheed Army College Mardan stood third with 982 marks.
In Pre-Engineering Group, the first position was achieved by Uzair Aman Khan of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi by securing 969 marks, two students of the same college Muhammad Faiq and Nasrullah secured 955 marks each and stood second while the third position was grabbed by Naseem Ali of Fazl-e-Haq College Mardan by securing 954 marks.
In General Science Group, Gul Wareea of Working Folks Grammar Higher Secondary School Ziarat Kaka Sahib, Nowshera secured 909 marks and stood first.
Afsheen Ali of the same school secured 878 marks and stood second. Arsalan Ahmad of Nisar Shaheed Intermediate College Risalpur secured 844 marks and stood third.
In Humanities Group, Noorun Nisa Syed of Nisar Shaheed Intermediate College Risalpur got 917 marks and stood first.
Sana Bashir of Government Girls Degree College Pabbi, Nowshera got 868 marks and stood second, respectively. Raz Muhammad, a private candidate from Mardan grabbed third position by obtaining 863 marks.
