Flood situation discussed

Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal met with National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Major General Asghar Nawaz to discuss the flood situation, protective measures and relief activities on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the chief secretary said that regular monitoring of rivers’ flow and weather conditions was being ensured.
He said the relief activities were under way in the flood-affected areas and all resources were being utilised for helping affectees. He mentioned that army, administration and departments concerned were playing active role in the wake of floods. —Correspondent
