PPP, ANP discuss LG polls

Awami National Party (ANP) Secretary General Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Khan called on PPP Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo on Friday and discussed political situation in the country and the possibility of cooperation in the forthcoming Local Governments’ elections in Punjab. Mian Iftikhar Hussain told Manzoor Wattoo that the ANP leadership desired seeking PPP cooperation in the LG polls because both parties were the closest on ideological basis. —Correspondent
