Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has planned the early filling of vacancies in government schools and colleges of Islamabad.
According to Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division Usman Ibrahim, whose division oversees the FDE, the teacher and lecturer posts lying vacant in the capital’s educational institutions under Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad total 1,405.
Among them, five are of BPS-20 principal, seven of BPS-19 principal, 27 of BPS-19 associate professor, four of BPS-19 deputy headmistress, 33 of BPS-18 assistant professors, 13 of BPS-18 assistant headmistress, 55 of BPS-18 vice principals, 148 of BPS-17 deputy headmistress/headmaster, 125 of BPS-17 senior school teacher, 31 of BPS-17 senior computer teacher, 129 of BPS-17 lecturer, four of BPS-17 DPE, five of BPS-17 upgraded SST, six of BPS-17 senior teacher, 40 of BPS-16 junior teacher, 294 of BPS-16 trained graduate teacher, one of BPS-16 junior lady teacher, 20 of BPS-16 drawing mistress and master, and 458 of BPS-14 elementary school teacher.
The minister said the posts of BS-16 and above were to be referred to the Federal Public Service Commission for recruitment, whereas those of BS-14 would be filled in near future through a testing service in line with the Establishment Division’s instructions for recruitment. He said some vacancies of BPS 17-20 would be filled through promotion.
