PESHAWAR: Directorate General (Extension) of Livestock & Dairy Development Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has established Flood Relief Cell at provincial level headed by Dr Alam Zeb, Director Headquarters.
The flood Relief Cell (FRC) contact numbers are; 091-9210276, 9210249, 9213679, Fax No. 091-9210285. The cell will carry out its activities as per the Terms Of Reference. It will Identity areas where flood are likely to hit, make logistic and preventive arrangements
and arrange availability of animal feed & animal vaccine, etc for the identified areas.
The cell will keep a liaison with all the stakeholders, establishment free veterinary camps in the affected areas of the province and provide all necessary inputs, as well as collect data on livestock losses and submit daily and weekly performance reports to all concerned.
The Flood Relief Camps have been established in the flood affected / vulnerable districts. In Chitral district, Dr Mehtabuddin, Cell contact 0336-9376440 (Drosh area) and Dr Shaikh Ahmad, cell contact 0336-9376440 (Chitral) are looking after relief activities.
In Nowshera district Dr Muhammad Ismail, cell contact 0336-5898707, in Charsadda district Dr. Ahadullah, cell contact 0301-8889101 and in Dera Ismail Khan district Dr Saeed, cell Contact 0345-8351550 are the relevant officials. Moreover 30 veterinary camps have been established in Chitral.
