Civic Centre raid was FIA’s operation: Rangers
Spokesman says paramilitary force was providing security cover and all data seized is in the FIA’s custody

The Sindh Rangers on Sunday declared that a recent raid at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s Land and Revenue and Engineering departments, located at the Civic Centre, was carried out under the command of the Federal Investigation Agency.
A Rangers spokesman said the paramilitary force was merely providing security cover to an FIA team during the raid, adding that all the data seized in the operation was also in the FIA’s custody.
On Friday, Rangers and the FIA carried out a raid at the KMC’s Land and Revenue and Engineering departments at the Civic Centre. As per reports, the raid was carried out with the consent of higher authorities and KMC Director Land Jahangir Baloch was also present as the FIA carried out the search operation. However, sources said that no arrests were made during the raid.

Six criminals were arrested by teams of the Sindh Rangers during separate raids on Sunday.
As per a spokesman, raids were conducted in Rustam Zikri Goth and Gulshan-e-Mazdoor. The suspects arrested include ‘Lyari gangsters and sub nationalist elements’.
