Tariq hails Shakil Shaikh’s support

ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Tariq Sohail, the newly-elected president of Multan Region, Thursday denied rumours that he had any affiliation with Mian Munir Group instead he said he was highly obliged to Shakil Shaikh and belonged to his group.
In a handout, Tariq Sohail said he was elected to the post of president Multan Region with overwhelming support and backing of Shakil Shaikh Group.
“I never have had any association with Mian Munir Group. I belong to Shakil Sheikh Group and it was only because of this group that I was elected to the post with overwhelming majority.”
Tariq expressed his full confidence in Shakil Shaikh and said that his services to the game of cricket were second to none in the country.
“Now when I was elected as president Multan Division I will work for the uplift of the game in the region with full force,” he added.
