FAPUASA to meet on 16th
PESHAWAR: The general body of Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) will meet September 16 in Islamia College University to announce the line of action against the ban on recruitments in all the universities. The meeting will discuss ongoing issues including the “illegal” extension to vice-chancellors of Islamia College University Peshawar and Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan. Earlier, FAPUASA KP chapter had set September 7 as the deadline for lifting the ban on recruitments and reconsidering the extension to the two vice-chancellors given in violation of Universities Act 2012. Enhancement of retirement age to 63 years and its prospective implementations by some of the universities in the province will also be discussed in the meeting, said a press release.
