JAMRUD: Political Agent Shahab Ali Shah nominated Assistant Political Agent Tayyab Abdullah as an investigation officer for the inquiry into a case about the death of a patient during surgery at the Landikotal Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
According to details, some days ago a doctor carried an abdominal surgery on a patient. The doctor allegedly removed the healthy intestine instead of the affected one. The patient went in a coma and later died due to the alleged botched surgery.
The heirs of the deceased protested against the doctor and demanded his arrest. They also appealed to the political agent of Khyber Agency to probe the case. The political agent took the notice of the incident and nominated Assistant Political Agent Tayyab Abdullah as an investigation officer to probe the case. The official will probe the case within a week.
