DAGGAR: The district police officer said police had been sent to the Mulla Yousaf village in the district following reports that a dispute over the route to the village could get out of control.
The district police officer Buner was contacted to seek his comment regarding the confrontation between villagers in Mulla Yousaf.Earlier, a village jirga including Malik Aman, Khan Ghalib, Nasir Khan, Nazim Khan, Javed Khan, Muhammad Rehman and others alleged that three persons, Shahrum, Mohammad Afzal and Munir had bulldozed the only way leading to the Mulla Yousaf village and exposed the villagers to tremendous problems.
They demanded police action against the accused and asked the Inspector General of Police to intervene. They warned that they would stage protests and block the Mardan-Pir Baba road for traffic if their demand wasn’t accepted. The village jirga claimed the personnel of the Daggar Police Station earlier came to the village but failed to take action against the accused for bulldozing the only route to Mulla Yousaf village.
